Teriyaki Sauce
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 425° F.
Dab the chicken with a clean paper towel to absorb moisture.
Lightly drizzle oil all over the chicken.
Rub salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder and garlic powder all over the chicken.
Set an oven safe wire rack on top of a baking sheet pan.
Spray the wire rack with non-stick cooking spray to prevent the chicke from sticking to the rack.
Set the chicken on top of the wire rack, spreading the pieces out evenly.
Bake the chicken in the oven for about 20 minutes or until the skin is crispy and lightly browned.
Turn the oven temperature down to 350° F and bake for another 30 minutes until the chicken is no longer pink in the center.
Remove the chicken from oven and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Optional:
Remove the chicken from the oven and brush your favorite sauce all over the chicken for the last 5 minutes cooking.
Notes
I usually cook this recipe with Barbeque Sauce or Buffalo Sauce depending what I prefer that day.You can also make this chicken recipe with no salt if you're on a low sodium diet. I don't add any seasonings or sauces to the chicken when I make this recipe for my daughter and it still tastes great!Using a wire rack makes the chicken nice and crispy because it's not sitting in the cooked juices while staying moist and tender.
